Sometimes good things come out of the most incredibly ordinary things --- like when you are having a lazy day in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and decide to go put out the trash. One glance at the Organ Mountains tells you that the light is just right today! 45 minutes later you're in front of the Organ Mountains among the cactus and cows.
Photographers almost never get home with shots that require no processing or cropping, and rarely are there more than 3-4 in the camera which really measure up in terms of composition, exposure, depth of field, etc. --- at least for publication standards. So you can imagine my surprise when I pulled up these 12 keepers.
It was a magic day when the New Mexico sky, the afternoon sun, and the majesty of the Organs all worked together to produce scenes which make one understand why this part of the country is called the Land of Enchantment.
I knew it was special when I was shooting it.
This is the first screen saver I am offering to the public, so I hope you enjoy it! |
